Interactive chart: Australian Population Projections

The 2011 Australian Census will be conducted on 9 August 2011. Australia's population in 2007 was 21 million. The projections for growth up to 2101 can be seen under three scenarios:

1. Strong and consistent growth, reaching 62.2 million in 2101 (Series A)
2. Medium growth, reaching 44.7 million in 2101 (Series B)
3. Weak growth, reaching 33.7 million in 2101 (Series C).
